Mark Attwood Looks at 2015, Finding a Force and a Passion in a Complex World

Mark Attwood did not start off an internet marketing expert. He explored many facets of life without feeling much in any of them. They were all mild distractions at a time where distractions could be afforded. He became a stand-up comedian, but never reached the heights of Louis CK. He worked in theater and as an actor, but fell into bit roles over the leading man of the party. He saw peers scale the Hollywood world, kissing behind and doing what they had to make it happen. It was not his world. Even when he thought he would have more luck behind the camera, it was a one-off. He had a bit role in Phoenix Nights, and quickly realized he was just a small piece in a big money machine. Where is the creativity in an environment where the director was new to the scene, the script was put together in a week, and the budget was obscenely low? James Cameron could make it work, but not everyone is a James Cameron. Some people were just part of the machine.

The Birth of the Internet

The Internet promised everything and nothing. A how to make money online hardly even existed in 1997. When home computers became big, people were stuck trying to figure out how to turn it on. They put the mouse up to the screen. The computer world was a whole new universe for anyone and everyone. There were no experts and no machine at the time.

This is perhaps what drew Attwood to the world of internet marketing. He saw potential here that no other industry could provide. It was fresh and new, and there was no cyclical wheel of corporatization in place- yet. He became an internet marketing expert because he capitalized on a new direction in a whole new world. This is what possibly turned Attwood from a confused and lost individual to a digital marketing expert.

The Family Piece

Getting married and having five children was also part of the transformation. Family is a top priority, and no one would likely argue that. Attwood found a way to propel the motivation from his family into an extremely popular marketing company led by an internet marketing expert. He made it happen, and he is continuing to make it happen. Five children need to be fed, after all. Yet, it may be more complicated than that. Attwood realized that without a force pushing and a passion to keep it fueled, no one can be all that successful.
